Default targa sc?

I just had this idea that sounds like it might be cool. Who likes the sound of a targa SC300? I know the price to rip off and convert the roof would be ridiculously steep, but I like the picture of the aftermath in my head. Who thinks it's worth pursuing or a waste of time?

This is not unlike the various convertible threads we have had, just a little twist to it. Search around and you will find a few threads with lot's of pics of verts to give you ideas.

Modify an existing targa top to fit the SC roof. Sounds like an interesting project and one I would try if I had a shell laying around to play with.

Sorry, but uhm...how is this anywhere like previous convertable threads? And what do convertable pics have to do with a targa conversion?

well, uhm... lemme explain it to you. Cutting the roof is cutting the roof. You can get lots of ideas from seeing what has been done already and knowing various ways to seal it up.

hey its worth a shot, but like it was stated before the roof is too long. It would not look good. Man I HATE how long the roof is, takes away tons from a sporty look. UGH

I was just thinking the samething today looking at a black supra. See it looks odd when you make the Targa top with the top part of the door metal still part of the door. If you make it like the supra where the Door peice is welded on and you basically have the glass exposed on the top part it would look nice. See how it looks with the windows up you would need to weld the roof too the part of the door and cut and smooth it out if thats done WOULD LOOK SICK something I plan on doing too.

I didn't know you could buy the hardtop roof.....hmm. If I can't find a hardtop, maybe I'll have to make one.
