Default Identify this part?

I found the part pictured below on the floorboard of my SC300 while I was removing the head unit. It the same brownish color of the trim.

Can someone tell me what it is and where it goes?

It's part of the fold-out up holder.

My car doesn't have a fold-out cup holder. View second picture here:

The slot next to the stereo...to the right of it. Thats where your "Fold out Cup Holder" use to be. Where all of our cup holders use to be. They break easy and not worth replacing, IMO.

I use the slot as a cell phone holder.

I have owned the car since it was new. There never was a "fold out cup holder" in it. That was added to the cars in later models.

That slot was for cassette case (for the cassette in the player) storage before they added the cup holder.

No. It was never made for a casette case.

It was always for the cup holder. If you didn't have one new that means it wasn't ordered with it.

It is most definately part of the cupholder. Like mkorsu said, it was always for the cupholder and if you didn't have one when you bought the car new, it was ordered without it or it already broke before you got it. See attached pic (borrowed from durtysc300)...

I assume that the part you enclosed with red lines is supposed to the part is pictured in the original message? If so, that doesn't appear to be the same part.

Also, please refer to this PDF file:

http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/1993/1993SCspecs.pdf

There's no option for a second cup holder.

Also, there's an SC model history here:

http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/SC400hist.htm

It indicates that for the 1995 model "Second cupholder added."

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't thisnk that part is from the popout cup holder.

If you neither have a cup-holder nor slot/hole...what is in that spot?
Got a picture of the area in question....assembled.

Look at the part you posted......and then look at the curved piece supporting the cup holder in the pictures...........

Either way, if it is/isn't part of a cup-holder, it is garbage and you should throw it away.
