You're in KC right?

Does it feel like it jerks like something's moving around below you or like a car bucking? Might want to do a tuneup on it. I plan on changing my transmission mount before too terrible long, doesn't seem too hard.

As car as clutches, mine went out a week after I got the car, and Black_SC has been through like 15 stock clutches in a year and a half or whatever.

Ya there is, you gotta get under the car and start pouring tranny fluid in it, and when it spills out its full. There no dip stick on a 5spd.

Well I just bought my SC, so haven't messed with it, But there "should" be a bolt and you unbolt it, and theres a hole there. When your under the car you should see it. Its a decent size bolt.

your jerking you speak of, sounds more like engine performance than trans...

once a manual trans is in gear, so long as it doesn't come out of gear, you will never get a bucking or hesitation... that is more likely a spark plug / wire issue (or other potential possibilities too)

and to answer the original question - on a manual trans, there is a fill plug on the side, and a drain plug on the bottom... to make sure it has enough fluid, pull the fill plug, and stick a bent paper clip in there (bent part angling down), this is your dipstick... if it comes out dry, its low, if it comes out wet, you are close to full... to ensure it is full, add fluid until it pours back out the fill hole, then cap it off...

What about the plugs themselves? Fuel filter? It still sounds more like a car bucking than something with the transmission.

Sounds pretty decent, less than what I paid.

If you can afford it, get a nicer clutch. Ammad goes through O'Reillys clutches like they're going out of style. I've had my Dual Friction for almost 3K miles now and love it.
