I've been driving my girls truck since friday since she's out of town. I park my Lexus where i've parked my legend and prelude in my driveway. I was walking to the truck noticed wires coming out of the SC trunk. My heart dropped under my feet and i knew what had happened. They didn't damage the car, they didn't steal my Pioneer Avic-D1 navi unit.

Stolen

Ipod Nano
2 Alpine amps
10 inch alpine type r with the custome box.
I had a custom install done back there. I need the carpet piece that covers the fuel tank area.

Everything gone. I looked at my key fob (viper 791vx model) it said the doors are unlocked but i could of swore that i locked the doors on sunday when i got my book bag out.

Total $ loss 500+

I'm pissed off but you can't tell by looking at me, because my spirits are always up. But if i knew who did this i would **** them up, not a lot of people know about my audio set up. My neighbors lawn crew was around when i detailed my car last saturday. New neighbors across the street but i don't like to point fingers.

Please don't reply with its your fault you left the door unlocked, i've come to that conclusion i don't need anyone telling me this. Just a little rant.

Btw: I live in a good area just too close to the hood.

well sucks to see another members belongings gettin stolen but there are just heartless people out there. good luck trying to find whoever did it and u think insurance is gonna cover it?

 

I already checked, insurance said no.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Well, at least they didn't damage the SC. Car thieves suck so much. I had my old Civic broken into twice and they messed up my door/window but never got my audio/video equipment and a system that was in the trunk, which I had locked from the trunk release. They took a hammer to my trunk release and pretty much destroyed that, though. At the time, I had taken my Alpine monitor and faceplate out of my car so they got nothing. Luckily, my SC has never been broken into, maybe because most of the time it is in a garage.

 

Insurance companies are such POS. They don't even insure when people have insurance. They just **** me off.

 

Maybe you didn't leave them unlocked. Someone with a code grabber could have been nearby or even worse... where are all the remotes to that system?

 

That's what i was thinking, there's only one remote to the system. My coworker (bby) installed it for me.

Obviously it was someone that knew of your trunk setup and targeted it. Why they left the headunit is puzzling. Maybe they saw somebody coming and didn't have time or they knew what they wanted. Anyways sorry for the loss and don't worry they will get theirs one day.

Word from the wise.. our trunks r not the safest. i did a test awhile back on my trunk (bored in the summer) and i was able to get in there..
did they rip out the pass tail light???

No they didn't take out the passenger tail.

I got two leads, my father said he saw 3 late teens kids on bikes checking my car out several days ago. Also, last night i remember seeing a suspicious cadillac deville in the area. I was taking the garbage out, they pulled up no one came out and left. The search begins..don't worry i won't do anything i will regret. My boys a cop.

 

Keep an eye on Craigslist in your area...Sometimes people are really that dumb.
