Default BRA for SC300

Anyone have a bra for their SC? If so, can you post a pic. Any suggestions on where I can get one (my front bumper is severely sun damaged and I can't afford a paint job right now).

If it doesn't have *****, it doesn't need a bra.

Strapping these imitation sandpaper devices to the front of your car is an interesting idea though since they accelerate paint wear ten fold. Since you have paint wear, this might help sand it

I have seen one or two pics of them, but I dunno how willing someone will be to admit it.

I got the message.

I've always been a fan of the bra-less look anyways.

i agree..i personally dont like the whole bra thing..what i would probably suggest is getting one of those clear vinyls and putting it on there as a bra..that way its not noticeable, will protect against the rocks and such, and also still have that clean look..u just might want to repaint your bumper at least before you put that on..i think aero tect has them..there's a banner on here on the right side that shows up every once in a while too..here the site though..AeroTect

wow guys, lemme suggest this. A good wax right b4 putting the bra on will not make it like sand paper. I have a bra, but it's not on right now. I use it for long distance road trips.

Save up, get your bumper painted and then get clear bra installed...

Here's mine getting worked on...

It's already on the car and you can't even notice it...saved my fiberglass bumper countless times..

That's exactly what I was going to say. I just got my 97 bumper painted, and when I go on long trips, I was planning to get a bra. I've seen my buddy go on a road trip with an RX and the front had rock chips to no end. Not trying to risk that on my fresh bumper.

That's the worst time to use a bra because dirt gets under it quickly and beating on it at high speed for long periods of time will accelerate it much more rapidly than slow driving around town. You can accumulate enough dirt to start sanding in about 20 minutes for some climates.

it is simply a vinyl overlay, very similar to the smoked tail light overlays without the tint.

the vinyl is elastic as all hell. it is hard to manipulate with only two hands, but with four, the application is super easy if you make good templates and have a good blade.

prep the car totally clean, spray down with soapy water, apply the appropriate vinyl overlay that you cut from your template, squeegee out the water and the stuff will adhere quite immediately (completely after a 1-3 day cure).

generally, it is installed about 1/4" from the gaps of the body parts since the vinyl will actually expand and contracta good bit from the heat.

nevertheless, the stuff is impossible to see unless you are looking for it. even then, you need to be within two feet to see it.

I investigated this stuff hardcore when I smoked my tails. It is really a great product. I know there is a CL Vendor who sells the stuff in a giant roll for a decent price (normlly like $300+ at a shop).

The brand I used on my car is Venture Film. The guys who installed it for me are http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/

The film, even after 6 months or so has no discoloration whatsoever. It all depends on the installer, Sam @ Premier does a great job and goes edge to edge on my bumper so it is very hard to see even when up close.

Oh, don't forget to check out their gallery of customer cars. That itself was enough to make me choose them immediately for my clear bra installers. Installers are not created equal
