I do..... Can't breathe at all. Plus the video is accelerated 1.5x with the processor I had to do it on since I wasn't near my mac so it's all screwed up.. meh... I don't care.
Negative. You can turn this all the way in either direction and it makes no difference. As far as the effects of turning this go this is for the kickdown in the tranny and to tell it when to shift.

You're thinking of the IAC.
I was not aware that the IAC can be adjusted,.The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body assembly. The 1uzfe IAC is located where the plug wires run (that circke in the front of the engine),That is a tps. I am shocked you dont have idle problems since you turned it either way. This sensor plays a major part in how much air/ fuel and timing the engine needs. When its not calibrated it will give the ecu incorreect information which will make the car run bad .
It doesn't affect the idle unless you unplug it. All it adjusts is the shift points.
Well the reason it shuts off when you unplug it is because the ecu uses the tps to deliver fuel/air and timing. Put it like this its like removing your lungs, you wont be able to function without this. The car might drive but how will the ecu know what to do when this sensor is not calibrated or is disconnected. If this sensor was for the transmission then you would have a error code on the transmission side of the ecu instead of the car shutting off when unplugged .Toyota dont design sensors to tweak transmission shifting. This sensors is on board to give accurate voltage/ pulses to the ecu for accurate air/fuel ratio and timing. The reason it shifts later is because its adjusting ignition timing due to the sensor not being calibrated.
These sensors also go bad by constant adjusting so if you start getting irratic idle and weird surges in the power band its becuase the sensor is about to die, but if you guys want to use it as a transmission mod, go for it.... I guess. I was just educating clublexus what is the purpose of a tps.
Lol .....actually its been more than a year if you look at the start day of this thread. Let me know when it goes bad, i have a throttle body for a v8 with a unmolested sensor somwhere laying around.
Hey how do you suppose I remove the bottom screw, the top screw is philip head is fine but the bottom one is nut head type and I can fit a socket over it but I can't fit any extension to it further due to the space limit...anyway I drop the socket into the headlight area and now I can't find it...great..
