Default Power Steering for SC3

Hey, got a question. I know the power steering pumps on SC4's are prone to go out, but on the SC3? I have power steering if I have it at 2k RPM. Fluid level is okay, but looks like it needs to be drained and replaced. How much is a power steering pump and/or what is the problem? By the way, the line has fluid residue on the line underneath.

You've probably got a leaking power steering hose. Unfortunately, these puppies are pretty expensive, almost 5 bills, but it's all one piece with a metal tubing s bend, hard to duplicate. As long as the ps pump is working fine, I really wouldn't worry about it, it'll probably last for the life of the car.

Will a line off of another SC work? If so, anyone that is parting out an SC give me a holler. Need a couple of other things as well. Going to draw out old fluid tomorrow and flush, if its warmer. Advice to all, buy one of those dual burner heaters that fit on top of a propane tank, just great for working in the garage when its cold.

thanks for the info SHutdown, Ill take heed. As far as your leak goes, take care of it ASAP before you take out your alternator and all the bushings underneath the car as well, the leaking fluid will corrode everything it touches over time.

SC3 alternators are on the pass. side of the engine. Power steering pump is on the drivers side. SC4 pumps are the ones to worry about.
