not really just go buy the parts that are necessary and put them on like you took the old stuff off. front and rear bumpers + sideskirts and door moldings + spoiler + taillights + fogs = 97+

If you have a stock bodied pre 97 there are no sideskirts.

remove bolts/screws. remove bumpers. remove headlights/taillights. put new harness in for tail lights, put new bumpers on, put in new headlights, put in new foglights, put on front bumper, screw it all together and do the hokey pokey and you're done.

So wait a minute..... From the list you placed here it indicates that you have to replace the "rear-left quarter panel" and "rear-right quarter panel".... But those parts are part of the same sheet metal that covers the entire roof. On our SC400 and 300's the rear quarter panels which are the sheet metal that go from the rear of the doors and over the top of the rear wheels to the brake lights are all one piece across the whole car connected to the roof.....

I know I just said the same thing twice but I'm trying to make the point that I don't understand how you replace the rear quarter panels without literally cutting that large piece of sheet metal into 3 chunks and then weld the new metal parts into the roof that's left and have to do deep body work just to install them........

Am I missing something here?

Who said anything about cutting? A quarter panel is a quarter panel.

All that stuff listed is if you wanted to do a FULL 97 conversion. A lot of people just do the front, sides, and rear for the body conversion. Others do the tails, fogs, etc as well. Nothing wrong with mixing and matching if you don't want to break the bank doing it all (or all at once.)

by quarter panel, i believe they mean, the little extensions that go on the rear bumper directly behind the rear wheels, there should be no replacing of sheetmetal or anything like that
