Default anyone changed the rear brake pads?

I briefly read the repair manual and noticed that the parking brakes are seperated units from the brakes. I plan to change my rear brake pads and assume there is no need to change the parking brake pads since they are only used to hold the car and should not wear at all. Anyone has different thoughts? I may need to adjust the parking brakes, i guess.

Thx.

I did my rear brakes but, you don't have to change it out unless, it is not holding and even then it is miost likely a tensioner.
