for those of you who want to roll on fat tires...for reference purpose only
left to right...295/35/18 on 18*10 rims,255/40/18 on 18/8 rims,215/60/15 on stock '93 rims
comparison in height...oem up front, 295/35/18 towards the back
with stock tire in the middle
so with my setup, i am supposed to get better gas milage, right

After all of the helpful information I found in this thread, I finally had the knowledge to order my rims with confidence. Too bad they said they could get the 35 offset and sent 40 because that's all the 8 inch rim comes in. I guess it's also too bad that they sent me only one 9 inch rim and 3 8 inch, instead of 2 & 2. And then the really big disappointment is that ALL 3 of the 8 inch rims had chunks missing on the outer lip (see pic below), and the 9 inch had small scratches around the entire outside lip. SO, once these "minor" setbacks are dealt with, I will be posting some pictures when they are mounted. I guess all of this is to be expected from a company that tried for 10 minutes to talk me out of a 9 inch rim with a 35 offset and a 265 tire for the back because "according to our guy it won't fit." At least the company I ordered my tires from sent me the correct sizes. I do have one question: I will be getting an alignment at the same time the wheels are mounted b/c I'm changing my shocks. If I decide to put a 5-10 mm spacer later, would I have to get it realigned?

Do rear brake calipers from the Supra Turbo require high disc fitment?
I am looking to "downgrade" from my rather conservative +37 offset 19s to some very aggressive +18 offset 18s.
I am looking at 18x10 +18 out back and 18x9 +18 in the front.
Do you think a 255/40/18 would tuck under a very flushy rolled fender out back with a 1.5" drop? If not, how would a 245/40/18 stretch on an 18x10?
Do you think a 235/40/18 would tuck under a rolled fender up front with a 1.9" drop? If not, how would a 225/45/18 stretch on an 18x9?
Chime in if you have had experience with aggressive wheel fitment, especially with 18s.
Thanks...

need advice. I bought SSRgt3 rims 18/9.5 fr +24 18/10.5 rear +22... the tires are 245/40/18 fr & 275/35/18 rear.. I put on 255/35/18 in rear. The rims rub in rear some and front a little. I am having fender ROlled ( could not do it with bat) . Do you think i should have them pulled? Should i run a 225/40/18 in front? I was also told i could have the built in spacers to the rims grinded and cut down. is this a good idea or bad?
Thanks

get the fenders rolled and see where it goes, if it's still not satisfactory, sell the wheels or pull the fenders...
