Figured I'd post my setup as this thread was a great resource when making my selections.

Rim Brand and Type: Gram Lights 57DR in Gun Metal Blue
Rim Size f/r: 18x8.5 (f), 18x9.5 (r)
Rim Offset f/r: +37 (f) / +38 (r)
Tires: Firestone Indy 500
Tire Size f/r: 245/40/R18 (f), 275/35/R18 (r)
Suspension Setup: STOCK
Fender Modifications: None - No rubbing
Comments: Think the gun metal blue complements the platinum metallic amazingly. Much more aggressive stance with the staggered setup, and it rides beautifully. Plan on rebuilding all suspension next, and hope to get around 11/2" of drop without shaving or rolling.
Was hoping someone could help me decide if what I have so far will look good, or if I need extras. Any help is appreciated.
Current Setup:
Lexus GS350 OEM Reps square
18x8 +45mm offset
Lexus LS400 BBK
225/40/R18s
have BC Racing BR Coilovers, Megan racing camber kits for front and back (to get 0 degree camber) and 25mm wheel spacers for the back. None of these installed yet. Looking for a somewhat flush setup, not slammed but lowered to sit nicely. I feel like the spacers in the back will bring the tuck out enough to match the front well, or do I need spacers for the front too?? Will I need to roll or trim fenders? Any help is much appreciated. Pics included of my setup and a picture of what I’m trying to get at least CLOSE to. How it sits now Before LS400 BBK The stance I’d like to get CLOSE to.

Would the bigger 0.5" diameter create problems? 235/50-17 at 27.25" vs 225/55-16 at 25.7".
For 235/50-17, what wheel size and offset would be ideal?
There will be no issue with that size, When you say what wheel size and offset you mean in a 17" wheel? You can fit much larger and wider which I would consider ideal unless you have your heart set on 17".

I briefly had 17 inch wheels with tires of a similar size and didn’t have any trouble fitting them on my SC.
I would go with an 18 or 19 inch wheel with either staggered widths or a square setup where all four wheels are the same width. You could do a setup like this:
Front: 18x9 with a +15 to +35 offset and 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 tires
Rear: 18x10 with a +20 to 35 offset and 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 tires
If you wanted a square setup where all four wheels and tires are the exact same size and offset you could do:
18x9 or 18x9.5 with a +20 to 30 offset and a 235/40/18 tire all around.
OK, finally narrowed down / selected Enkei TS-5s (hopefully they are in stock). Thinking the 17" in bronze, so I only have two choices -- 17x8 and 17x9, 40mm inset on both. I currently have 18s and IMO they are too big for the car / look silly.
I don't track, I daily drive so I'm not sure running staggered makes a ton of sense. Currently do spin / break the rear end loose with the current tires which I need to go double check the current size on.
Anyone else running 17s / thoughts on tire size for a daily?
