Default Dash light for tail lights on

The rear taillight burned out light came on in my 97 sc300 came on so I replaced the burned out bulb. The dash light stayed on. I then replaced all the bulbs in that taillight. Dash light still on. Owners manual was no help.
It's seems to say it should go out when the bulb is replaced. All bulbs light including brake light.

Is there a way to reset the dash indicator?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

When in doubt, reboot.

Disconnect the battery for about half an hour. Everything will reset - clock, trip meters, radio presets, seat memory, even the fuzzy logic in the ECU. Maybe the lamp monitor will reset too.

does the little yellow car show up if the 92-96 cars upgrade to 97+ tail lights, or is hyperblink the only issue?

mine comes on like on the clock once every 8 days . i just turn off and on the car, and it goes away. I checked for burnt out bulbs, and nothing. And I've reset the ecu. So i may just take the bulb out.

Default Dash warning light help

The taillight burned out bulb warning on my '97 sc300 lit up. A bulb was out on the passenger side taillight so I replaced all three bulbs on that side 'cause
the taillight is such a pain to remove. All the taillights work but dash indicator won't goout. The owners manual was no help.

Can anyone help? It will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about the duplicate entry!! My cable modem went out during the storm and I lost my internet connection. I didn't think the entry got through.

God bless Comcast!

make sure all the connections are clean. Sometimes the connectors get corroded and then cause this type of thing. Also make sure the harness connections behind the rear panel in the trunk are properly plugged in everywhere and not loose
