Default stripped lugnuts

I've been having problems with one of my wheel studs. recently bought a new tire for the rear driver side. went to mount the wheel back onto the car. took off the metal ring that centers the rim onto the hub because it somehow got bent when removing the rim (came off with the rim). Tried putting the damn ring back on but every time i try the rim doesn't fully touch the hub. I tried grinding the ring down to make it fit etc. but it still doesn't want to cooperate.

After about an hour of trying to center the damn rim back on the hub without the ring, I finally get the lug nuts to screw on. when I get to the last stud, all it does is strip the lug nuts I've tried to put on it (screws for about 2 rotations then starts to strip). I went through 4 lug nuts that originally came with the rim (I've got like 20 extra of the same lug nuts laying around). the wheel stud looked fine when I had my rim off but I could've overlooked it. first time this has happened. I pretty much gave up taking off and putting the rim back on because of the difficulty it was giving me. something so simple turns out to be a pita. has anyone had similar problems and/or solutions?

Cliffs: Lug nuts keep getting stripped. don't know why. need solution.

I agree.... without centering rings it's kinda hard to get the wheel on straight and without holding it in place, you can easily strip a lug/stud

well, it looks like one of my studs decided to break on me. looks like I'll have to drill it out on top of getting new studs and centering rings. I'm really starting to hate my sc.

drill it out???

pull the brake caliper, pull the rotor off, hit it with a hammer - it will come out the back... install new, and tighten to seat...
