Just use toothpaste, and if your really into it, once your done with the toothpaste scrubbing, cut the plastic down with a buffing machine on low or something. That will cut all the "burnt" plastic at the front of the lights, (from years of UV exposure) and will make them crystal clear again.

or just use some 3M Plastic Cleaner and Plastic Polish with a decent amount of elbow grease and its just as easy. Meguiars PlastX works too, but I hear not as well as the 3M stuff.

And 1992 SC300 i hope you didn't spend too much money on that stuff you got ripped of by. The rest of the members have posted some of the best ways to clear your headlights for the cheapest amount of money... and the results are pretty much the same.

Meguiars speed glaze and micro-swirl remover mixed together (some sort of semi and fine grit buffing compound will work as well) . Soft rag and about 10sec. of hand buffing. lens is clear and shiny.

I use 3M rubbing compound, and a rag. They look brand new. I put a coat of wax on them, for protection.
