Default New Project

Well for those of you who have seen my car it is to far to low sometimes. I always have to slow down to snail speed just to get over a pebble . I hope to remedy this problem fairly soon.

Ohh and by the way, once I remove my Tein SS coilovers I plan on selling it on this forum first if anyone would be interested.

Man you're gonna need spacers because when you're slammed, they'll be tuckkkinnn.

It's gonna look sick and I like your flavor.

I kinda wished I had gone viair with my setup..which struts will you be bagging on.

Wow, this should be interesting.
Make sure to take some installation photos. Good luck with everything.

Thanks. As for the struts, I'm going to using KYB for now. I hope to be getting some HKS coilovers in the near future I hope.

Nice! Did you go with the Universal Air kit or did you piece it all together yourself?

I actually called Zach at Universal Air and he had a kit ready for me. Kit comes with everything needed to install this suspension: Brass fittings, stainless steel lines, wiring harness, switches, compressors, etc. If any of you need anymore info on this let me know, and if I don't know give Zach a call at Universal Air Suspension and let him know I told you about it (Dennis - Red SC300).

Well I thought it could be done, but Zach helped me measure the diameter of the teins and sadly to say it can't be done. So I opted to purchase KYB struts for now until I can purchase a set of HKS coilovers (diameter of this coilover is a little smaller). Until then they will make some lower perches for the KYB's and I will use my HKS upper pillowball mounts. So I will be selling my Tein SS.

Right on, post some pics of the install. I am curious to see how it sits. Let me know when you sell your Teins.

Sorry, I'm new to the whole suspension thing. I'm assuming that's air suspension (told you I'm new). So what is the advantage of that (whatever it is) over plain coilovers, especially in regards to ride comfort and durability? Like I said, I know nothing about these things...

I've been doing my air research and have decided to piece together my own setup. I'm looking to throw them on some kyb's as well. If you get a chance could you snap pics of the modified strut and sleeve mounted? I know it involves removing the spring seat and welding on the lower sleeve mount in place but it would help to see an actual SC strut modified for air. Could you also let me know where you plan on mounting your valves and where your air hoses will be routed underneath the car. Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Thanks,
Alvin
