I was driving around yesterday and out of nowhere after i take a turn i hear a whirring noise seeming to come from the engine / bottom side of it, and the air conditioning shut off and the A/C button started flashing.

everytime i hit the A/C button it does this now, and right after it did this the front windshield fogged up almost immediately as well. Anybody know whats broken or what i need to buy and replace

The AC Compressor went bad and locked up.

so time to buy a new one then?
or can it be repaired, with spring here in Georgia its crucial to get cool air up and running

if it means buying a new one, you got a ballpark figure? i know where to ask for one, just wanna be prepared for how much money its gonna cost me
