Default steering adjustment (electrical) problem

is it a pretty common problem how the SC300/400 electric steering wheel adjustment goes bad?

how easy/hard is the fix? what parts would you need to get it done? it still retracts and goes out fine but doesn't go up and down.

just randomly went out yesterday... now it's annoying just sitting right on my knees

i heard it was a "common" problem with the SC's... it's a cool feature but more of a pain in the *** when/once it goes out!

Take the cover off the steering column, take off the metal cover on left side, slide the gear out, stick any washer you got laying around behind it to space it out a tad, and do a quick test to verify it works good again, and put back together.

Hi!

check this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t+wheel+repair

You're "lucky" because usually its much easier to access/repair the up/down motor than the in/out.

Mine doesnt moving in/out, and I was unable to locate the motor which moves it. Search did not help for me

Good luck

Attila
