Default Engine STOPS!

ok i was driving today and this guy wanted to race me from a roll. ..well we both gun it and i beat him, then we got to a stop light, he guns it again but this time i try to gun it and my engine just stops but all my power is still on, so what i had to do is turn my key off then start it right back up again, then it would work. just wondering if n e one had this problem and what could be the problem btw this happend to me 2 times and i thought it was my alternator

im thinking ur electricity shorts for a second, in turn shutting off ur motor, then it comes back on really quickly. Check ur battery cables.

God turned off your motor because he frowns upon street racing. Keep it off the streets.

There are a few threads on this. Other people have had the engine die after a hard run.
