Pulling around 22 mixed highway/city...one time before, i remember, i had actually hit 420 miles on the tank, before the light lit up, I WAS SHOCKED. Just make sure she's running fine, and keep on the light foot, and she should get some improvement.

EDIT: The way you drive makes a HUGE difference.
Tires inflated properly, Windows either open or closed below 55mph. After 55 windows closed AC on. Accelerate as gently as possible * Mine usually shifts around 1600-1800RPM now.
This increased my MPG from 19mpg to ~22mpg.

Register your car at www.lexus.com. I think you can still request a free owners manual.

With city driving I get around 250 miles in my 5spd sc300. I can make 320 miles if its all highway.
Note that I generally shift right before the powerband at 3k rpms.

If I redline, I can almost see the needle drop. lol

www.lexus.com and Lexus as a corporation no longer support the 1993 SC400 and will not give me (or you / anyone else I gather) a manual. At least this is what the website says after registration.

Bummer... but it was worth a try.

I want in! But I can't

I usually get about 450~500km from a tank (however that's usually up to 1/4 tank when I fill up)... about 340 miles per 3/4 tank. Mixed driving (since I live next to the freeway).

I have a 97 SC4, I get sbout 24.5 Mpg, I calculated this by the on board computer and also by dividing the miles driven versus the amount of gas I put in. This is over the last 1k miles with mixed city and hwy.

People need to remember it is the way you drive, I use cruise control all the time and take off smooth, I also coast the car when I can, i dont hit the gas then slam the brakes.

my car needs quite a tune up, oil change, plugs, filter, quite a few things. gonna do the BFI soon but currently i'm getting around 22-24 mpg mixed. i'm a hypermiler though. i cruise to a stop at every light and never go above 2k PRMs. sometimes i try to stay below 1.5k RPMs if i'm in no hurry. the way you drive makes the biggest difference i think, even with all the mods.

I get between 415-420 a full tank but i only drive 4 miles city and 80 highway daily 42 there 42 back. Cruise control at 69 all the way unless its Friday lol. I actually need a tune up so i guess i have no complaints. Its been consistant like this for the last six weeks.
