Im actually looking for a 1jz, but came across a 2jz out of a aristo for a couple hundred more. Does the aristo line up like the 1j? Can the harness still be extended or would it require a new usdm one.
I know for a fact that that search is pretty fruitless. To answer your question yes it is, but mating aristo wiring and sc wiring is an ancient chinese secret that no one wants to give out freely ....its a matter of time when someone will spill the beans.
I've been able to come up with plenty of info through searching.
As for spilling the beans...Either you know how to wire or you don't. If you don't have a clue where to start then you have no business trying to do the swap yourself in the first place. When you think about the amount of time that anyone who has done this swap has spent on the wiring alone can you really blame them for not taking the time to write a book on it? They had the know-how to do it and the drive to get it done. Why should they spend that much more time to spoon feed someone who doesn't?
The starting point for anyone who wants to do the swap should be to get an SC300 wiring manual and an Aristo wiring manual. IF you can comprehend those and have any idea how to wire properly then knock yourself out. You'll get through it just the same as everyone else.
^^ Do you have or know where i can get the aristo wiring diagram? I've search but can't seem to find it, if its even out there. I usually use a usdm harness for my swaps but im dropping an aristo 2jz into a non toyota car so being able to use the aristo harness would be a plus for me. Thanks in advance.

Yahoo Japan is your best bet. Unless of course you know someone in Japan who can just pick one up for you.
He used a US spec Supra engine, not an Aristo. His SC is a 92, what's yours? Are there wiring changes between years? Surely there are.
What year Supra harness did he use? Again, are there wiring changes between years?
Auto or manual? 5 or 6 speed?
Did he really do it right?
I'm not saying the book may not be helpful, but if you expect it to take you through every step, for any scenario, you're probably going to be disappointed.
I'm haven't completed the electrical portion. well, I did...but my Laptop
was stolen so I need to re-do it. There's so much material I need to put together.
