Default Decisions Decisions.. Help!

Alright well here is the dilema... Should I stick with the 1j and continue my single project OR should I swap in a 1uz and boost that? I bought the 1j to be different and I am here in SLC but it just seems like everyone is now 1j swapped. So should I boost the 1uz? or keep the good ol 1j? Help me out here peeps

be different and boost the 1uz, probably a bit more of a project but still cool.

Make 1000rwhp on a street legal 1JZ. No one can call you any names of any sort at that point. A 2.5L engine with that kind of juice would be a thing of beauty few have the ability to enjoy.

Don't put yourself into a complex because dozens of CL guys have 1JZ's in their rides. The number of people with 1JZ's is so incredibly rare. For the money you would spend to find a 1UZ, rebuild it to handle boost, and then boost it, you could have disturbing power with the 1JZ.

Jesus dude, the 1JZ was not even marketing to America. It doesn't get much more exotic than that.

when looking at the bigger picture there arent many Modded SC's running around the US let alone 1jz swapped SC. So its still rare in a sense.

but it sounds like you want a setup that is good powerful and something not many or any have. boost the 1uz and two turbos and make some good power and it will be very rare.

I'd rather 6spd the sc with a 1jz with the 2jz bottom end, good size single, large injectors, maybe dual fuel pumps, etc...

What's your budget like? Keep in mind that for the same basic result on the 1UZ, the 1JZ would cost about 25%.

But, IMO, 1UZ cause V8's just plain kick ****!

How much money you got. If money isnt an issue then go with the V8

like everyone has been saying.... how deep are your pockets?

also i would imagine the downtime with building up a 1uz will be alot longer than with a 1jz as aftermarket parts for the 1uz are still rarer than the 1jz...

imo- 1jz ftw!
