Tein Basic
Best place to buy Tein Basic for 1998 SC300? How much should I expect to pay?
Ride compared to stock? Trying to keep ride as close to stock as possible. Have had Tein Basics on other cars, and have been very happy with them.

I did some search on the forums, and people kept saying how bad they ride.
So what would be the best lowering, that keeps the stock ride? I don't need to get slammed on the floor. Just a nice drop on 19 inch wheels.

I have heard that ride quality suffers with the Basic's, and -of course- there is no way to adjust the dampening on the Basic's. However, if you have had them before and like them, I would say to go for it.
I would try emailing
sales@tmengineering.net . From my scouting of Tein CS prices, they have the lowest by a significant margin. Just tell them you are a CL Lexus member and are looking at acquiring Tein Basic's. I bet they can hook you up.

In most car applications the Tein basics have the softing spring rates, so it should be pretty soft, but not having dampering adjustment kinda blows.
I have the Tein HR on my s13 (got them used from Japan), they're ok but they are not adjustable. I want my next coils to be adjustable.
The Flex are good

Well I don't want a harsh ride on the SC300. LEarned my lesson with last SC. This time, I want to keep the smooth ride, but just want to go lower.

This screams Tein CS moreso than Tein Basic.
