Unhappy Bad Days For The 300

Well i was on the freeway the other day coming back from my girls house when i heard a loud thump under my car about where i was sitting. I was doing about 65-70MPH and i thought that i ran something over. YEA RIGHT!! I was almost to my exit and the thumping kept sounding so i was like well maybe it got caught on my car. I exited off the freeway and luckily its one of those long long off ramps and i pressed the brakes and wouldnt u know the car didnt want to slow down. Luckily it was a long ramp like i said so i did a lil bit of e brake and got her to slow down. i pulled right over and got out of the car, looked under it with my super bright flash on my cell phone and my brake caliper in front was all *********** up and dragging all over. =( Yea it came off but was attached by the brake line. I finally follow my bro home and e braked it all the way home to find the inside of my wheels has long scratches on the inside from the caliper falling inside it. I have 19's. I guess maybe the caliper bolts flung to the outside of the rim cause the lip was scratched also. When i get home i find one of the pistons is missing so i look all over for it the way i came home and nun was found. i had placed the caliper on the LCA so it didnt drag on the way home. Like a dummie i dont look on it but the Piston is on it and was found after about 1 1/2 hours of looking. Thank god it was not scratched or anything. The seal on the other pistonis gashed a lil also but not leaking. Its about 10 PM and no ones open but auto zone. i call for the caliper pins and bolts and they have one. i got to pick it up and sure enough they dont have it. =( I had to wait a couple days and finnaly got a set from another auto zone for like 10 bucks. had to bribe them to open the door for me, lol. they were closed. Drove the car up the driveway, scrached my back wheel on the curb. Now some rash. Im not cool anymore. Put the pins in and bled the front brakes and all done. all i got is a scrathced a** caliper, so i should contact Aliga soon. Yea great story huh? It felt like a freak incident...

glad your okay. luckily the caliper was still there attached to the line. Things could have been worse, you or other could have been hurt. you could have lost the whole caliper. . .

Glad things turned out how they did.
