depends on the vehicle its going in and which shifter you are using. this was the very first one i made and it was about 2 inches too long.

Its going into a 93 sc300 factory 5sp. I am just trying to save myself the hassel of putting the trans in place 4-5 times to get the correct size. A write up with mesurments I can not find.

if you are using the swan neck, then i would extend it 2 3/4" if you are using a short throw then i would extend it 4 inches or so. I went from auto so i had to make a new cutout since the auto is in a different location.

So if you extend it 4inches or so wouldn't that put it rite in the middle of the auto hole?

What about for a manual hole? 5-6 inches?

The manual hole is closer to the dash so i think that would be 2 3/4"
