Default Need Advice, what you guys think?

I am buying this car (if financing from my bank comes through with my house....long story) and was turned to these forums by the owner. This is my first post, i dont know much about cars but I amwilling to learn and improve my abilities.

Car is selling for 7200$. Has a swaped 1gz twin turbo

this is the car

Anyway wanting to know your opinions...good deal? bad deal? Thoughts?

I will redo tint, seats will be re-covered. new wheels/tires...which brings me to another question, what wheels would you think would make it look even better?

Welcome to the club.

The engine is a 1JZ, and not 1GZ.

Try the search feature to see what others have bought for similar costs.

Also you should give greater details about the car. Mileage of engine & chassis, year, service, etc.

yeah that would be my french screwing with my english. I always get confused with J's and G's. J is g in french and vice versa and for some reason i always get them confused...sad.

Body has 200K +.

engine has about 50K.

its a 1993 sc300. Paint is the original. Its a very clean car. the inside (beside the seats) is very clean. Drives smooth and is quite fast...but the fastest car ive ever been in was a 1995 mustang cobra....thats about it. I have been looking around in the forums alot for cars that looked like that one but have not found many. I have been reading alot of threads this past week just cannot figure out the wheels. My other big fault beside J's and G's is not being able to picture a picture of a wheel to what it would look like on that car.

Car looks quite nice! My personal opinion is that $7200 is a tad high, but not unreasonable. The car should be in the 4-5k range with the stock 2JZ-GE motor. Things to check since you're around 200k on the chassis are the bushings, brakes, hoses, etc. Check to see if they all have been replaced. If not, factor that cost in as well.

Nice car. If that indeed had a 1GZ, you would have a one of a kind. With the 1JZ, the potential is well over 500hp.

I would say make him an offer of about 80% if you intend to modify the car. Otherwise, you can find a stock ride with similar performance and -in my opinion- fewer question marks for a similar price.
