Brake help
Yea just find the 2 big bolts that hold the caliper to the spindle, they are probably 17mm and loosen them all the way until the caliper comes off and then remove the rotor. If its rusted on there are 2 threaded holes in the rotor that are used for extracting the rotor from the hub. These are 8 x 1.25mm threads. Go to the hardware store and pick up 2 30mm long 8 x 1.25mm threaded bolts might as well get the 8 x 1.5mm bolts just incase Im not exactly right. This will save you some pounding on the rotors to remove them. Clean the rust off the surface with a wire brush to make sure the new rotors are mounting square on a fresh flat surface. Slap on the new ones and reinstall the caliper bolts. Pretty Friken tight is just about the right torque for the caliper bolts.
These threaded holes and the fact that the rotors werent held on by rust, and seemed a little loose, are probably the whole reason this thread was started.
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
