- I am shopping 5-spoke 19" rims. My brakes will soon be in clear view.
- I never use full braking power. Big brakes are not worth it.
- I want to paint the calipers. They are currently nasty.
- My car is deep hunter green. Picking a caliper color is thusly tricky.

My opinion:
- red is cheesy
- hunter green will likely not match perfectly
- white would stand out too much
- black would match the tires but may clash with the paint
- silver is rather ordinary but may look the cleanest

I am leaning toward a lusterous silver color to compliment the wheels and rotors and give the wheel a clean look. However, I have seen black look really amazing in pictures. I am just concerned that black will clash with the paint job.

Your thoughts? High temperature spray paint comes in a number of colors. If you have any creative ideas, knock yourself out. I am all ears.

silver looks cheesy also. never smooth enough IMO. go with black. you will not notice them and that is a good thing. you also have a cleaner looking wheel when someone gets down to look at the whole area.

 

I have had black, red, and teal on past/current cars. I tend to like black the best but those were all quad piston calipers with the letters on the calipers sanded and polished.

Also where in Indiana are you?

I feel like Black is a safe bet. I guess I was just hoping I could do something a little different. Black is a good fail safe though.

i painted mine black with a metallic glitter clear coat and they look really really good. be different, be unique, cant go wrong with something YOU like

 

I love the gold. Not sure if I am up for that much of a statement. I saw silver in a picture online and it looked like hell. I know it could look good, but it is not worth the risk. I love the black look, and I am more certain that it will look the best. As much as I want to be different, I do not want to stand out too much.

I am quickly realizing I miss the coin tray from the 93 Taurus I traded in for my SC. It had compartmentalized spring-loaded cylinders for quarters, dimes, and nickels with a big tray for pennies. It was amazing. I am trying to think how I could get one into my SC center console compartment or glove box.

I have coins accumulating in my car, and I miss my storage container. It saddens me that my SC has no coin management system in place. I guess now that I own a Lexus, I am suppossed to just throw my change away.

I do not think the gold would look very good on stock calipers. I am not a fan of colored calipers, but I took a chance on the gold and love it.

 

SC does have a coin compartmet, it on the arm rest, you just need to open the leather arm rest, there are several curvature for the coins. it's just you can't store a lot of coin. but its there.

Mine is gold as well not bright yellow gold but more like bronze gold. I like it its like infiniti G35 brembo gold
