Default 1jz downpie ?

i know a 2jz downpipe will work with a 1jz but with customizing it. but i was wondering what do you have to do to make it fit the stock twins on a 1jz? or would it be better if you just used a dp from a mkIII 1jz

well i have answered my question a little bit i found a dp from hks japan for a soarer and it has the same part# as a supra, so i called HKS america to ask and see if they could help a little bit and they said that they are the same part. They aren't definitly sure it will fit but think it may. so if you hgave any feedback on weather i am wrong or not please let me know.

So Johnny, did you pic up rics green car? Im still interested in your red one so let me know....

Right before i blew my motor I was going to buy a downpipe from my friend who had it on his mkiii supra (1jz). I looked at the dp in person and it'll fit but will probably have to be shortened to bolt up to the stock sc exhaust... I can still get you the downpipe if you want to play with it. It has the 3 bolt flange off the twins and the right angles down to where it would have to be shortened to bolt up to our car so ytea...

The piece between the supra and SC/Soarers that is the same is the front pipe(straight pipe), the part off the turbines is different between soarer and supra. the supra part connect to each turbine if I recall correctly.

Anyways if your looking for some parts the Apexi parts are nice.
The turbine side piece has a flex pipe and the straight pipe has no bung for the sensor to go into, so just a heads up.
Here are the Apexi part numbers for soarer
Turbine side: 145-T003 (75mm->80mm) different part number than supra (supra uses 145-T001)
Straight Pipe: 145-T005(80mm) (same part number as Supra)

yea, u can check out driftmotion.com

they offer the hks front pipe... i also talk to them, and they said they dont really recommend changing the DP off hte turbo... not really needed,, opening the front pipe helps alot more in making low end and top end... etc...
im prolly gonna place an order for the soarer front pipe and eliminate the second cat...
