Hello all,
I have a 1994 SC400 and I'm trying to install a new ignition switch. I don't have a good service manual, just a $20 CD I bought off ebay a while ago. It doesn't have any diagrams on the dash and I'm having trouble and don't want to break anything. Has anybody done this before? I already tried pulling the gauge cluster and it's nothing but steel frame behind that. Then I tried pulling the bottom panels off, I can't get the center piece out that goes over the middle console/climate controls. Also if you know where I can get a manual that has the dash diagrams that would be great too, it seems like there's very limited material in the way of service manuals on this car. Any help/pics would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
you are removing the wrong peices. the ignition switch is located behind the ignition, you have to remove all the lower plastics above the pedals, and then you shoudl clearly see it. it is held on with a couple of screws.
