Well i have been in the market for a RWD turbo car for about a month now and have been searching forums, ebay, and autotrader high and low. My first choice was a 2nd gen Mr2, what can i say I love T-tops. Then i thought about 300zx and a 240 swapped. Well to the point i cant get lexus out of my head since I found this http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=1&cardist=244
Figured you guys could give some suggestions and help on looking for a turbo lexus whether it be nat, 1j or 2j. Also found this one in FL, trying to stay around 10 grand. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...em280048215985
Thanks for any help guys and hopefully ill be a Lexus owner soon too.

I would think about replacing the turbo on the second car with something a little closer to something usable... unless you are shooting for a laggy 800 hp car, that turbo is too big for a 2.5l motor...
the first one is a nice find, though 12,500 seems a little steep just because it's right hand drive...
you could always find a good deal on a sc3/4 and just drop a 1jz into it... if you can work on cars, the swap should cost around $2k in parts, total including the trans and all the little BS items needed to make it work... if you did this, you could probably get away with spending around 6-9k depending on how nice of a car you wanted to start with...
Definitely have the ability to work on cars. Grew up in a late model race car garage with a dad that welds. Just think im to lazy to wanna build my own and kind of dont have the time with 15 credits plus a semester.
Yeah t70 is way too much, but that RHD is gone just talked to the guy and he has another RHD just imported getting painted around 45k miles asking 16. What is something like that worth more like 13 or 14?

it's probably worth a lot more than I would be willing to pay for...
sure, I'd pay a thousand or two premium for a RHD car just cause it's cool, and I'd even pay 5k premium for a turbo'd RHD car, but other than getting the combo, on an older car like that, there are just a lot better deals....
i paid $5400 for my sc400 a while back, which was a decent deal considering it was in pretty good shape minus needing some minor touchups... you figure for 5k plus 2 for the motor swap, you can get a hell of a deal...
