that is an extremely old article. i know its no longer in the hands of the original owner. might have switch hands a few times.

theres better turbo IS's out there.

but that was one of the first.

 

Yea i saw that article yrs ago...original owner was some Miami Dolphins football player. That was one of the crazier first gen IS's during that time.

 

I remember that car, it is sweat!!!

But that turbo gen 1 was one of the first publicized turbo models and the mods like the audio are pretty sweat. the intercooler and rims alone made this a dream vehicle over 7 years ago.

The wheels on the black 1IS kill it for me.

 

Apex, not to split hairs, but i think the first turbo IS that made it into a mag belonged to James in CA, the Blue CWest XS turbo car back in 2000-2001. it was the same issue as the black one, but it was the main feature. and i also think it was the first Turbo IS cover car.

 

ya that was a nice semi-sleeper. that's as old as visionboy's IS300

 

IMO his 2IS came out much better...minus no boost
