Default Headlight question...

I just got home from a late night drive and noticed that one of my headlight units has moisture inside it. It's not full of water, just has heavy condensation inside the light unit. The lights all work, but the moisture makes the one look dimmer than the other. I've only had the car about two months (that's why I still take it out on late night runs, so fun!) and have never noticed it before.
Is there a way to permanently remove this moisture and be sure it doesn't come back?

it's most likely that you have a leak in your headlight somewhere...

this will happen over a period of time, where the plastic gets brittle and cracks...

you might be able to fix this by removing the headlight, and sealing any visible cracks or holes..
Good luck

There are a ton of DIY's on the headlights, OLT has a good write up as do others. I suggest searching for that. I couldnt fix mine, because i believe my leak stems from the rubber seal around the actual bulb.

O.L.T's DIY is amazing make sure you read it correctly, i read of alot of people setting the temperature to high and melting some of the plastic. Don't be afraid about sticking you headlight in the oven, it will be fine as long as you put it on a baking sheet with a cookie sheet or two, and set it to the right temperature. good luck, oh and be generous with the silicone

I did the DIY to one of my headlights a couple of weeks ago and it turned out great, but now I have condensation. I believe it's because I do not have one of the drainage tubes at the back of the headlight. I have the one that has the filter in it, but the other one was broken off when I got the car.

Does anyone know where to purchase the drainage tubes?

Thanks
