Default Kill switch locations???

I searched for "Kill Switch" and read up on all the usual places to put a kill switch; in some cases two or three kill switches. Most of those were Coil, Fuel Pump, and ECU Power.

Anyway I was hoping some of you guys could describe some really crafty ways to keep the SC from getting ripped off. I'm not going with any of the fuel pump ideas because I don’t want them to even get the thing started.

Give me some good ideas that will be simple to implement.

I was thinking the same thing. You're probably not going to get too many answers to that question. That's like asking "Where do you hide the spare key to the house?"..."What room is a good place to keep a safe?"..."What is the last 4 digits of your SSN?" My suggestion is to be creative...

Yea, its a 6 speed but it's a conversion so there is no saftey switch. No one wants to post? I didnt ask what you guys use to kill your car. I asked for ideas that should work well.

But OK I'll figure it out for myself. Thanks to those who threw out suggestions.
Cheers

How about modifying the "auto" switch on the steering rack... the one that brings the steering wheel down when you start the car. It'll look stock, and how many people will figure out that that's what that button does?

I was thinking about putting my push start switch in the cigarette lighter socket. That way it stays nice and concealed underneath the little black cover.

lfrers, my reaction as well. I don't often find that I invented it first and I'm not always the most imaginative guy on the block either.

Behind the fold down cupholder
In the glove box (you could lock the glove box as well)
Hidden under the carpeting somewhere

Probably the coolest 1 i've seen was under the carpet. The switch was
a gel/bubble momentary switch. The only way to know where it was is
from a dirt spot on the carpet from years of use. Came on a friends
car when he got it. I still have a hard time finding it & I know where it is.

Double switches also work. Put 1 semi hidden & 1 real hidden. Generally
the thief will cycle the ignition on/off while flipping the semi hidden switch.
If it doesn't fire hopefully give up instead of looking for a 2nd switch.

how about a quad pseudo switch, have a switch that relays a battery that enables a hidden switch to open which requires a switch to open from a blackbox hidden underneath the glovebox concealed with camouflage and a security alarm?

I’ve seen a certain kill switch which works with a remote, the systems is installed and hidden within the car, and a sensor is places virtually anywhere you’d like; under the seat, under the floor mats/carpet, dash, the side of your seat… You get the point,
Now with the kit you receive 2 remotes, just like any other alarm and only these two remotes will send the correct frequencies need to the sensor.
There are a few pluses to this kit,
a) Only those two remotes have the correct frequencies to complete the circuit, I think u might be screwed if u lose them ;P
b) If someone gets a hold of the remotes they still wont be able to start the car because you must hold remote device within 2-3 inches of the sensor or else it will not complete the circuit.
c) Its pretty convenient, since the remote will always be on you or your key chain, the sensor can be places somewhere with in your reach. It could be conspicuous enough so even the occasional passenger in your car, wont be able to notice where it is either if your slick enough.

A friend of mine has this and its very practical, easy to use and not too expensive. I would recommend it to you guys also if you were looking for a simple easy theft deterrent.

^ That remote kill switch sounds interesting. Might have to look into something like that.

You could also take the ECU fuse with you? Cheap fix heheh.
