Hey I have been looking at a lot of the BFI intake stuff and the how to stuff on planetsoarer anf i have a couple of questions. what does all the sectioning off do. Like the lid on the top? Also what would happen if i just put in the holes on the front and thats it. Would that be bad? Also what if i took out the stock filter and dropped a cone intake down where the air comes in...where that bottom vent is? Put the tube through the stock box or just replace the box? What can you guys tell me?

I wouldn't waste my time on the egg cups that's for certain. After making several graduated changes to my airbox, I wound up doing something like what you mentioned.
I made a plate that is the same size as the stock panel filter, and mounted a cone to it; works great at higher rpms than any panel filter that size ever will.
Be prepared to increase the fuel at some point as well.
