Aight, want your guys opinion.... Heres what Ive been thinking, ever since Ive gotten my car Ive wanted to paint it (champange gold / gold package emblems.....) I just absolutley hate the color.... but heres what I was thinking. Im getting a veilside body kit and im thinking about buying the black chrome lex emblems, leaving the color, tinting the windows some ungodly amount, and then maybe putting a big *** black lexus decal on the hood.....
What do you guys think? I hate the whole gold on gold thing, but Im thinking that black on gold MIGHT actually look really nice....... Give me your opinion

a black car with gold trim looks really really nice. but i like the silver, because it will not fade and tarnish

 

i like your vision except for the big logo on the hood...I'm in the same boat as you...champagne car, but with silver emblems. I'm thinking about black rims.

 

i have a white sc and i hate the gold emblem. i want either silver or black. the black emblem i found online is for freaking $200. if anybody knows cheaper or if you can dip the emblems in chrome let me know.
if i can't find it anywhere i'm just going to paint it my self but that's the last resort

 

Great idea, but the hood decal is questionable.


While we are on the topic;
I have a pearl white with gold emblems. Thinking of switching to chrome emblems. Anyone done this? Where is a good place to get new chrome tips for the exhaust?

Okay ... I absolutely HAVE to say something on the logo. Why? Unless you think it's a Civic/Integra or you use it for racing only ... don't do it.

The colors ... if you want to stay with the gold paint, I think gold emblems will look washed out. Won't stand out. Silver ... almost the same idea. Black would be the choice for me with the champagne paint.

I have black paint and gold emblems. Haven't noticed the emblems being washed out as mentioned above though. Maybe they're still newer -- the car is a 97.

 

aight so no decal, what about using paint???

also about those black rims, is there anyway to get em black, yet chrome?
