Default sc4 is overheating..plz help

i just got my car back from the shop, i handed them a complete raditator support to align my front end because mine was not in the best of shape. after i got it back, my car starts to overheat after like 10-15 minutes of idling, and rapidly reaches red zone. today, it overheated so bad that the coolant came bursting out the bottom somewhere. what can it possibly be? any help will be much appreciated

how many miles??? maybe ur water pump is messed up. The coolant shooting out happened to my old cressida, but that was a blown headgasket. I havent heard of too many BHG's on the 400's. i say, check ur fan belt, make sure the water pump pulley is on, then listen to the other guys on this forum.

nah man.. i don't do drugs...
but if you have the slightest knowledge about cars you;ll see that:
1. the sc400 has a small bottle that reads "fan fluid" i guess is for...fan fluid...ohh my, you're so smart...1 point for you.

2. some coolant/antifreeze contain alcohol...our service manual recommends us not to use this mixture (ethylene glycol) but rather use coolant not containing alcohol.

ethylene glycol
NOUN:

"A colorless syrupy alcohol, HOCH2CH2OH, used as an antifreeze in cooling and heating systems"

you've now been schooled, and also SAY NO TO DRUGS

now, can someone more intelligent than this sintari character have any helpful input?

It's for the fan clutch, which may need replacing at this point.

Vehicles are prone to overheat without the fan.

The wrong additives in the coolant may damage the water pump seals, radiator and heater core. It recommended you use care; this is not a brass based cooling system of yesterday.

ethylene glycol with aluminum engine additives.... For example the Toyota coolant red or pink.
The green is supplied to engines with an iron block.

thanks tammy, yesterday i added fan fluid and flushed the radiator with green ethylene coolant, i let the engine idle for about half an hour and gave a few revs and needle stood dead center. i now realize i should have added the red or pink instead. i read that amsoil makes a good coolant/antifreeze. i believe its red, anyone have used it? if so, whats your opinion of it?
