Talking possibly might be getting a SC400 UPDATED

my gf's aunt takes care of an old lady in palm beach, and her uncle just bought a new LS and we were talking lexus's and he told me this old lady was selling her car. i go hmm wonder what kind of lexus it is. Turns out she has a '92 SC400 with get this only.....38,000 miles on it. the only draw back is that it has a scrap on the rear bumper and a pug hood ornament, im gonna check it out at the end of the week, but could get it for only 4k. while i ponder on what im going to do to the car, how good are the projectors that came on the car in 92. or should those be upgraded, i am planning on doing a 8k HID setup. also its in burgandy. if anyone has a picture of that it would be awesome

I think if the headlights are foggy(which they prolly are) then if u clean them (search for cleaning headlights or something similar) they will come out looking brand new if u do it right. Drop in sum 9006 bulbs and u will notice a HUGE difference in light. It might be time consuming but IMO its better than droppin $200+ on a kit, and yur prolly gonna have to disassemble the headlight anyway cuz its prolly cloudy to get the full HID look.

may sound weird but i used toothpaste with floride and rubbed it onto my headlights- let it sit for 5 min- and scrubbed it off- repeted and it was unreal the difference it made- im sure there are lost of ways- but i have found this to be the cheapest- gotta save money for the turbo man

Use 9005 bulbs and light output will be even better. Modding the 9005 bulb to fit 9006 socket is not difficult, it takes 5 minutes.

okay guys i went an saw it, it was nice, some cosmetic scraps on the bumper but nothing too serious, runs flawlessly. 40000 miles on it. here are some pics, im gonna see if i can get her down a couple hundred, this lady is a millionare in palm beach, her house is worth 8 million. a 3 grand car is nothing for her, she is 90. check out that huge pug hood ornament im gonna have to figure out how to fix that. any idea?

btw the headlights are crystal clear, she has kept this thing in the garage, i was worried it wasn't true but when i saw the paint and the headlights i new it was true. the dings are from maids and housekeepers driving the car and rubbing on the walls cause they didn't care. nothing that can't be fixed

Great find. What a weird place to put a hood ornament.
That car is awsome for being that old and low miles.
Scoop it up and dont look back.
