Having recently accquired an SC400 V8 Ltd, I am getting frustrated at the lack of help from UK owners in locating new bushes for the steering rack. In the UK Japanese parts suppliers have told me that this is a common problem, yet, they are not able to supply replacements, as Toyota do not list them as spare parts. This meens that I would have to buy a new steering rack at a cost of GB-£1257.54 +Tax, this to me is unacceptable.
If anyone could help by letting me know if they are available Stateside, or even giving the exact specifications then I could make myself some new ones.

I just bought a remanufactured steering rack from global4parts.com for $222. I'm still waiting for it. Big price difference.

There are a few australian owners who have rack bushings availible for very cheap. Try doing a search on bushings and get the link. I have it at home if you want to PM me.
