Hopefully the GS4 does not take such unique shocks, if any, and you can get them more easily.

By the way, I just put in "spoilered" shocks last week on another SC400 w/o a spoiler and the trunk POPS UP when the inside latch is pulled. Hildy could not be more pleased- I met her at a gas station and she saw me staring at her car. We started talking and I said I bet her trunk shocks were shot. She was amazed I knew (well, duh!). I offered to replace them for her, and she bought the pair from RockAuto.com (part number DD5 510-129).

I just bought my shocks from rock auto -- ordered on the 2nd, got them on the 9th. Pretty good.

I don't have a spoiler, but I opted for the non spoiler shocks because I like how it doesn't pop up... my grandfather's town car does that, so I guess it's a personal thing

Perry, you're the trunk shock king

John

PS: I'm taking care of my GF's SC3 next week too!

I also got mine from rock auto as did howiedoit, I went with the spoiler shocks because I was planning on getting a spoiler and adding dynamat , now the trunk doesn't pop up. I wasn't sure if the non-spoiler shocks would be able to support it

You're seeing the effect of a combination of summer temps and new shocks.

You're in luck- it won't last forever.
