The little 5w lights are intended for Asian countries like, city lights. When, you are idlig at a stop or signal. It is mannerly to turn on parking lights or city lights and turn off healights. That is what those lights are intended for not, to blind people. I tried that in a drive-thru and the weirdest response. Everybody started doing the same thing in front of me like, Mc Dee's and behind me. I thought I was in Japan or something.

Also, the front fog/clearance light or whatever u call it It is time consuming. I had to jack up the car b/c, of lack of visibility and clearance. . If you change any bulbs externally. It is hard. Lexus intentionally made it hard for labor costs. Your dealer has to eat too, u know. Try changing your back lights. Gotta take out the snap plugs, panels, trunk trim, and 10mm nuts. It gives a new definition to changing a light bulb altogether. Sorry, to ramble on but just wanted to put my 0.5cents.

I just swapped out my fog light bulbs this weekend and it was a ***** to get to. Go ahead and take off the headlights first. It will save you a lot of trouble. The fog bulbs are held in by this rubbery covering, then there's a little metal clip...looks like a bent-out-of-shape paperclip. Anyways, when you push the clip around, it should come loose. Then the bulb comes out. The connector on the bulb is held in by this plastic white thing that you have to get loose too...what a hassle.

The thing that sucks for me is that I wanted yellow fogs, so I bought some $60 bulbs from Autofreaks, Costa Mesa. The dude kept telling me that they were yellow after I asked a million times to be sure. Anyways, they turned out to me not much different than my stocks! They're only slightly yellow. Sucks. $60 and a bunch of my time and energy down the drain...

Is there a yellow bulb that anyone can recommend?

I ordered some 55w yellow bulbs late last week, they should be in by thursday. I'll try to take some pics of them compared to stock and 85w hid look alikes. I hope the pics turn out allright, last time I took pics, the camera couldn't capture how blue my headlights really are.

What kind of yellow bulbs did you order? Do you have to go through the wheel well to take out the headlights?

yup, there are three bolts that hold the headlights in. in order to get to two of them, you gotta go through the wheel well. instead of opening the entire wheel well fender thing, there's an upper portion that you can move away. I don't really know how to explain it, but hopefully you'll see what I mean. There's one bolt that you can get to easily from the engine bay.

Where did you order your bulbs from? How much $$? The box of my bulbs has a bunch of Japanese writing on a gold sticker. It says GiGalux, I think. It's made by Carmate...the Razo people.

I ordered the PIAA ion crystal (w/ xtra technology) bulbs from autobarn.com for 28$ shipped. There weren't any local performance shops that had yellow H3s. the pic of it really caught my attention (http://store.yahoo.com/lib/rodi/PIA13555.jpg).

Power Bulbs.com have Philips Allweather/Weathervision bulbs for H3 and 9005-9006 applications. They're not dichoic like PIAAs ion crystals though. I had both. The PIAAs are good for foglights. Never tried the 900 or 9006. The Philips are cheaper and not sold in the US. Also, the Philips bulbs don't have the blue hue but, are not dark yellow either.

hey dude...I think $28 is per bulb...you need two for $56? $28 would be a sweet deal and I'd be kicking myself cuz I just bought some yellow bulbs from the guy who sold me my HID's. $32 shipped, but not piaa. I'd rather have piaa, but I don't feel like paying so much money. I already lost $$ on the bulbs that I just put in.

doh doh doh
i think your right... in fact, i just saw the text that says that each package is sold with one bulb.
ugh i feel stupid!
hehe, well, another 6.50 in shipping, time to order one more. i'm just used to them coming in pairs.

well, on a side note, one of my hid look-a-likes bulbs burnt out on me today, lasted 8 months. i bought a pair () of hiper industries super plazma purple bulbs. I wonder how these will look. I would have bought an HID kit, but i don't want to dip into the brake/suspension fund
