window motor problem? - I've searched

window motor problem - it's the regulator
92 sc300 - passenger window will not go up. Removed panel, motor runs, cable moves for maybe 1 second and the window is not stuck (moves manually). Lubed everything and all looks in good order, it just seems that the motor lacks the power to move the window. I reset the electrical connections going to the motor and the controls on the driver’s side. Is there a ground lead I can check? Has anyone ever had a situation where the motor worked but lacked power? I’ve read all the posts on the subject and am prepared to buy a regulator (and motor if needed) but I’m hoping there may be something else I can try. - Just noticed that when I try to raise or lower the window the motor makes a noise just like the drivers side window when I continue to hold it after it is opened (or closed). Anyway to confirm there is a good ground? It's been crazy humid here lately, any chance that could cause this?
