Default Timing belt opinions please

I have been lurking here for some time researching the SC300. I finally bought one with the intent of a 2jz-gte swap with a single turbo conversion. The car has 125k on her and the sticker under the hood says the timing belt was replaced at 63k. I was going to replace the belt then I saw that I could still read the writing on the belt. It has been my experience in the past that if you can still read the writing, the timing belt is pretty new. What do you think of this?

Depending upon who you ask, the timing belt is either a 60k item or a 90k item.

I'm in the 90k camp... just routinely inspect it every oil change to make sure that it's a-ok.

the 2JZ (both GE & GTE) are non-interference engines, so if the belt goes, it won't be the end of the world... I'm not 100% on the VVTi versions, so if you are curious, the search button is available.

Welcome to CL!
