Default What is this....

I'll apologize in advance for the lack of pics and the likeliness that my description will suck... I finally mounted a front plate today after another ticket, and while i was down there i noticed a small black tube-like thing mounted sort of under the top of the opening in the front bumper on the passenger side. The only thing i can compare it to, sadly enough, is that it looks a bit like one of the deer whistle thingys that "country folk" stick on their from bumpers to supposedly lessen their chances of an unwanted deer encounter. It looks as though its wired to the car. The only thing i could think of was a possible outside temp sensor?? Its on a '92 300 though and i thought the 400's were the only ones with the outside temp indicator. Hell, I could be way off...but if my car displays the outside somewhere inside, i dont see it??? ??? Any help is appreciated

Oh yea....another thing that i havent figured its use, is the little dome shaped thing thats on the drivers corner of the dash near the glass??? I looked through the owners manual and didnt find anything, so if its in there and i overlooked it, my bad!!!

It might just be there and have no sensor in it.. Just like the hole for the cupholder that didnt come until '95. Just features they left out, or just added in later.

I thought it was there for the auto climate control (to sense sunlight, since if you are in the direct sun vs shade the temperature will feel different). Thats what I've always been under the assumption of. I thought the auto headlight sensor was the one on the passenger side.

The cabin temperature is the little vent under your ignition.

I got the two mixed up (well for the 96 model anyway). The drivers is for the headlights and the passenger is for the climate control (again, it senses shade or sunlight to adjust the temperature accordingly).

Edit: Forgot to downsize the pics.

dude, I don't think that is the part he is talking about.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about this part

if so, it is the Exterior Climate Sensor
