hey, anyone know if I can use a 2jzge a/c compressor on a 1jzgte motor? I want to know if they are the same unit or different.

 

as long as its in the same model year, it should.

Example. You have a 1992 SC300 and a 1991 to 1993 1JZGTE, u should be fine.

Apparently in 1995 when they changed around a few things in the body design, they also changed alot of the electrical system, so things are not directly compatable. Like putting a 1992 1JZGTE into a 1995 SC300.. u will have wiring issues, especially with the alternator.

My friend used my 1993 SC300 2JZGE AC compressor on his 1993 Toyota Supra 2JZGTE, worked just fine. 1JZGTE is the same block, bolts up the same. I'm using my 2JZGE SC300 alternator on my 1JZGTE, its higher amp (and plug and play).


So in theroy, it will work.
