Sc400 help..interior lights not working. clock resets
I have a '95 sc400 and yesterday i took out my factory head unit which i have done multiple times because i didnt want my dvd player with monitor anymore. so after i installed it everything was fine. then today the guy who installed my dvd player cut a few wires in the orange harness under the head unit to connect the dvd player to. so yesterday when i put them back together i just twisted them to stay in place because i didnt have a soldering iron. so everything worked fine. today i soldered each wire in the orange harness back together and now none of my interior lights work even my floor lights wont come on and everytime i turn my car on the clock goes back to 1:00 and the trip odometer resets. why is everything resetting when i turn my car on? and also now my steering wheel wont move when i press the arrows or the auto button. the only lights that are on are the ones on my door that light up the window button. and also my doors wont lock with the button on the door. what should i do? is it something with the orange harness? HELP please. thanks in advance
I believe one or more of your fuses are blown. Check your battery as well, but I doubt that since the car turns on.
Same thing happened to me after I put in a new head unit on my friends sentra.... It was suppose to be a b-day present, but I screwed it up. He ended up driving home with no headlights and interior lights. Heheh.
The fuses are under the hood, and behind the kick panel on the driver side. Check the fuses one by one, you'll see it once you get to the blown ones. Not sure if the fuses for the problems you're experienceing is under the hood or in the kick panel. Maybe someone else can help with this one...
