Question Performance Brake Pads

I desperately need some new brake pads, the dealership said i had 20% left and that was a couple moths ago, and i've had several consecutive nights of hard driving. Since i cannot afford a big brembo/stop tech up grade night now i'm just going to buy pads. With the racing season starting up (circuit and drag) i'm looking to buy high performance pads. The 300 is my daily driver so i cannot just go with strict racing pads, but what are the pads with the best balance of racing and street?

When I got my exhaust done, they told me that I was at 20% for my front brake pads. I am thinking of getting the EBC green stuff brake pads. I heard that they were good.

EBC's stop well but be prepared for LOTS of brake dust.

I know this is last years post but for the benifit of those looking for opinions on EBC GREEN STUFF pads, I have NEVER seen a set of pads put out this much brake dust. Thier ad says "low brake dust" Yeah? compared to WHAT!!?? I must say they do stop nice, low pedal effort - it feels like about 25% less pedal effort before the ABS kicks in. With the stock pads, (you get half the brake dust) I felt like I really had to stand on the brake pedal before the ABS woke up. My guess is that any pads w/ low dust have less organic material but are going to require a lot higher pedal presure to get the job done. I can't wait to wear these EBC out and get some lower dust pads, The first stop I make after washing the car and my wheels miserably fail the finger wipe test. "low brake dust" HA! Maybe compared to Mt St Helens...

I have used those down here in Mexico where they are available. Very good at stopping, but I had to get them custom made using one of my old brake linings.

The EBCs do kick up dust.

I am using Akebonos now and no problems.

Axxis Ultimates = HORRIBLE dust and LOUD squeeling noises during bed in process (and for a good 6,000 miles).

Switched to Hawk HPS pads recently, and I am one HAPPY camper! I definitely recommend the Hawk pads.

I use Satisfied brake pads. Not a single complaint on my end.

I was told today that Lexus comes stock with ceramic pads since 1990~ish -- Is that true??
As well as a few other brands like Honda--
Not sure if the guy was right, but it'd be interesting to find out-- (for whatever reason)
