I just got them after about 4 days after I ordered at TM Engineering. Should be a pretty straightforward install, I'll post pics of destroyed bushings when I do it.
Ok, just did the install in freezing weather, took about 45 minutes.
My old bushings fell out. I did not do anything other than take the bolt out, and they fell out. They were worn down to the sleeve. I popped the new bushings in, torqued them down, and then took it for a drive.
ZOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
It's a night and day day difference, the car steers like it's on rails and I feel the road through the wheel. This is by far one of the best mods I've done to the car bar none.
Took about 8-10 minutes to get them off, and about 20 minutes to get the new ones on... one of the easiest upgrades ever done. This should be added to the BPU list. Night/Day difference.

your respnse in steering has really changed that much ??? on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the highest what would you rate it
I just installed these for the 2nd time. The 1st time was on my green 97 sc which took about 15 minutes total on a lift.
Now I have my 93 sc. This time I did it in my garage which took about 20 minutes. Very easy to do. Very good upgrade. But too bad I haven't really gotten a chance to test it because of my tranny leak.
The steering rack bushing shown in these photos look to be for the driver's side. Is that right or is the one shown in this tread for the passenger side? I need to replace the one on the driver's side in my sc300.
I was told by a lexus shop that there are two bushings for the rack an pinion and that I can only buy the one for the passager side (for $44.86). The one for the driver side is only available only with the rack assembly from Lexus. Is that true?

Yes that is true. BUT you can get very nice aftermarket replacement bushings from www.tmengineering.net
Very easy install and will tighten up your steering.
