Default Yet again another one done

Figured if anyone cared, my other sc300, the 1993 green one is alive today. Started on the first try, idled smooth. Now tomorrow i have to go over every nut, bolt, wire, hose, and drive it for a week.

keep this a secret, but i already ordered another 1JZGTE soarer swap

With the expense of 2 old SCs and 2 1JZs, you could of gotten a 97+ SC and dropped a 2JZ-GTE in it.

not really, both of his cars were less than $2k, and the motors are only a grand a pop.

ric... now all you need to do is get a clip, a 5speed SC, and pull both motors, swap the W58 onto the 1J after changing the clutch and flywheel, lengthen every wire, then drop the 1J into the SC, change the diff... realize you have the wrong flange on the diff, put the stock diff back in, then start it up and drive it for 6 hours non stop!.... oh, and do it all in 2 rainy days on a gravel driveway.

i think chino and matt agree that we will never do that again... good to see another boosted SC in town.

Thanks everyone! I might have a driver take it down to some car meet this weekend or next. I wont take it on the lexus meet sunday tho.

As far as swaps go, please don't PM me to swap your car. Too much liability and i don't want to deal with that. I buy the cars, swap em, then sell em. Maybe one day ill open my shop doors to swap customers, but not this year.

I am trying to get some one off parts needed for the swap i have to custom make EVERY TIME that takes ALLL DAY If i can get these parts in development with someone everyones lives will be alot easier.

throttle cable bracket
supra tt radiator brackets
1JZGTE aluminum air intake
various intercooler hoses redone in metal
A-pillar gauge pod

Stuff like the a-pillar pod for our cars i could have done by the weekend if i make the molds. But i'm not a vendor, so no prices and nothing is forsale

throttle cable bracket... theres a fix for that... turn the stock bracketsupra tt radiator brackets... bend the stock ones down a little, and they hold great
1JZGTE aluminum air intake... there are plenty of aftermarket intakes out for the 1J
various intercooler hoses redone in metal... they make kits for stock side mount pipes in alluminum... i think its greedy

thats what i have to contribute.

Yeah for a personal car thats perfectly fine, but something for resale.. i want something a little better done then bent brackets.

As far as IC pipes go, metal pipe is metal pipe, doenst matter who makes it. For the price of that Greddy$ pipe kit i can have 10 sets of mandrel bent alum IC pipes made locally that look exactly the same. Greddy pipes do not flow better or make more HP then any other pipe in the world. Dont be redicilous.

As far as intakes go. 2.75in or 3 i forgot the size mandrel bent alum pipe thats 3ft long that goes from the intake T to the cone filter behind the headlight costs around $20-50 when rolled edges if not bought in quanity. The only widely available intake is the trust that still uses the rubber elbow and costs $200 and probably only costed $1 to make.

Its time to get off the name brand high horse for redicious stuff like IC pipe and intakes. Next youll probably say the semi truck radiator hose i buy in lenghts of 3ft that i use for IC couplers (stuff is rated for 400+ degrees and -100, 100+psi and resistant to any chemical a car holds) is not as good as greddy silicone connecters that wear out/dry out and split within a year.

WTF???

lay off a little. i was trying to help. the rad. brackets dont need to be destroyed, just bent about a quarter of an inch.. so they are snug... not a big deal at all... still strong

i never said greedy pipes are better, i just stated they already make kits for the stock SMIC... so get off my *** with the name brand **** and trying to make me look like an ***.... im no ****ing noob.

and there are plenty of intakes out there... not saying they are cheap or better.... after all, I'M the one that told you you could use intakes from another car in the first place you ungratfull son of a *****!

and lastly, im on no high horse of anykind.... you presented problems and i presented sollutions that are reddily available. that is all

this is why you have your reputation... you ask for help, then bash when you get it.... **** off.
