Default Wing spoiler brake light/lamp...

Hey all,

As you all may know i have a 95 SC-400 w/ the wing spoiler and the brake lamp in the spoiler. I was wondering if that is suppose to be lighting up when putting on brakes or if it's just for decoration. I would think that it should work but just wanted to make sure

Also, another problem that's a known problem with our cars are the foggy looking headlights. I was wondering where i can buy a replacement cover for the headlights and how much it would cost?

Thanks in advance,

Brake Lamp: Yeah its supposed to light up when you apply the brakes. If its not you should change the bulb. As for doing that, i have no idea how.

Foggy Headlights: Mine:

After:

You can look here for steps how to redo the headlights:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ght=Headlights
http://www.luxurymods.com/tutorial1.htm

Hope these help you with your headlights. Also make sure your not getting any leaks through where the bulbs go in, usually if you seal where the lens and fixture meet, it should be sealed, but sometimes the leak comes through the bulb port. Good Luck.

Yes this did help... So i'll need to go by AutoZone and get a bulb to replace those in there now.

With regards to the headlight covers, it's more like it's a film over the cover making it look almost dull. I think this is the same thing that the guy replied with as far as the links for me.... Speaking of the links it looks very very in depth. Is there a work around this? If not, is there anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area that could help me out?

Easiest solution is to take 1500 grit sand paper, then wet sand the exterior of the lense. Dont do this though unless you have a buffer/polisher or a drill with a buffer padded extension. If you do have these though, wet sand first, then apply some small scratch remover, like mothers or meguires, and then apply it to the buffer pad, and buff the lens out. Walla its that easy.

Yes, buy new headlights.

Clean or replace They won't clean themselves. (wouldn't that be great though?)

Don't get scared, just (nike moment) DO IT.

O.L.T, why promote buying, when theres such an ability as a DIY. Most people should learn to do this as to not rely(spell???) on buying new parts. Just make sure you know what your are doing.

Thanks for the workaround and i would really be content w/ just buying new ones. Simply because i don't have a buffer/polisher in my possession so me being able to do this would be very hard anyway b/c i don't have the goods. That's why i was asking where would i go to just buy them so i won't even have to worry about it?

Let me know.

you can either buy new one's from the dealer for $$ or search local bone yards for one's in better condition than yours
