Can't you just pop the side markers in the oven and take them apart instead of cutting them?

Default Clear Sidemarkers - TUTORIAL

Wildrice09 - I didn't even consider putting the sidemarkers in the oven to be honest, but it's a thought.

prjctSC300 - I have bought some orange LED cluster globes from e-bay (http://stores.ebay.com.au/IN-Shop) and intend to install these in place of the orange PY21W's you'd usually use, I'll drop a note once in so you can see, perhaps you could employ the same?

OLT - when I posted the pics on soarercentral.com, I was deluged with questions about how I did it, so I wrote a tut and posted the link here in order to benfit CL members.

I have been a silent observer and have benefitted from this forum for a number of years, so it's a small way of giving something back I guess, rather than just writing a 'look at my new stuff' post.

On a side note, I also wrote up a tut on door LED colour change (which is on soarercentral) and one on the A/C console LED install (not up as yet), these along with the rest may be of interest.

Despite the tiny soarer population in Aus (they are ALL gray imports and were never sold by Toyota Australia or Lexus for that matter) there is a thriving and enthusiastic group of owners down under.... pay soarercentral.com a visit!

i have a friend in Melbourne now for school, so if i go visit between now and dec., then ill be sure to mantion it on SoarerCentral and meet up with some of you guys. ive seen a lot of these threads, but your came out a lot better than most. if i go with clear markers, then ill stick with buying some d-speeds or equivilent. i dont like taking the lights apart if i dont have to.

And I am glad you did. We just have a case of search-button-itis. (fear of the button) otherwise members here wouldn't have needed to ask for the DIY.

Still, your efforts are appreciated.

By the way, we don't allow link and run threads, so if you wish to produce a DIY, please produce one HERE so our members can view it rather than making every post "go to this website" because that is frowned upon as spam by most sites
